SHARJAH: H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, gave the green light to the "Aquaculture Farm" project in Khorfakkan.The approval has been granted for the Aquaculture Farm project, the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates. This pioneering endeavour, developed in partnership with the University of Khorfakkan, including the College of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology, aims to fulfill educational, environmental, and sustainability objectives.Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazin, the Chairman of the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority, shared the news of endorsement during an appearance on the Direct Line programme, which is aired by the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.Source: Emirates News Agency
