Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has sent a cable of congratulations to Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the election of Dr. Khaled El-Anany as Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
According to Emirates News Agency, the congratulatory message from Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi reflects the strong relations between Sharjah and Egypt as well as the importance of Dr. Khaled El-Anany’s new role at UNESCO. Dr. El-Anany’s election to this position highlights the recognition of Egypt’s contributions to cultural and educational fields globally.
