SteelFab 2025 Showcases Cutting-Edge Metalworking Technologies


Sharjah: The 20th edition of the SteelFab exhibition, the largest commercial gathering for the metalworking industry in the Middle East and North Africa, is witnessing significant engagement from industry professionals and enthusiasts alike. Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the exhibition, which runs until January 16, features every link in the steel production and manufacturing chain, from advanced machinery to metal-forming technologies.



According to Emirates News Agency, SteelFab 2025 highlights advanced laser metal cutting technologies, AI-driven 3D printing, and sustainable manufacturing solutions. It offers a platform for regional suppliers, manufacturers, and end-users to network, exchange expertise, and forge strategic partnerships aimed at advancing the steel industry.



Sultan Shattaf, Commercial Director at Expo Centre Sharjah, stated that SteelFab focuses on the latest steel fabrication and metalworking technologies, which are crucial for advancing the construction and infrastructure sectors. He emphasized that the exhibition serves as the backbone for massive building projects in the region, presenting innovations in the iron and steel industry.



Shattaf added that the exhibition features a wide selection of products and services catering to various industries, including essential steel products like bars, sheets, pipes, and metal structures, as well as manufacturing equipment such as rolling lines, cutting and welding machines, and coating systems.



Engineer Bader Hafez from FICEP Group highlighted that the company is showcasing advanced machine tools at SteelFab 2025, including high-power laser cutting machines for sheet metal and sophisticated robots for 3D steel printing. These innovations are designed to meet the needs of various industries and advance the construction and building sector.



Kareem Mohsen, General Manager of Renishaw UK, noted that the company is presenting data-driven intelligent manufacturing systems and software at the exhibition. Their offerings include high-precision sensor equipment for industrial data acquisition, software for machine tools, calibration devices, and advanced measurement systems, all aimed at optimizing manufacturing efficiency across sectors like aerospace, automotive, and petrochemical industries.
