Abu Dhabi: Strata Manufacturing PJSC (Strata), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Mubadala Investment Company, has reached a significant milestone by producing 100,000 aerostructure components by the end of April 2025. This achievement underscores the United Arab Emirates' vision for industrial growth and Strata's pivotal role in positioning the country on the global aerospace map.
According to Emirates News Agency, Strata's journey began in 2010 with the production of its first component, the Flap Track Fairings for the Airbus A330 aircraft. Over the years, the company has expanded its portfolio to include various aerostructures for major international players such as Airbus, Boeing, Pilatus, and Leonardo. This evolution has cemented Strata's reputation as a trusted partner in the global aerospace supply chain.
Ismail Ali Abdulla, Executive Director of the UAE Clusters unit within Mubadala's UAE Investments platform and Managing Director of Strata, announced the milestone during the "Make it in the Emirates - 2025" event. Abdulla highlighted the significant increase in aircraft components marked 'Made with Pride in the UAE.' He noted that nearly 30% of wide-body aircraft and business jets worldwide now incorporate parts manufactured in the UAE, specifically from Al Ain city.
Abdulla emphasized Strata's influence in shaping the future of the aerospace industry, stating that delivering 100,000 aircraft components is more than just a numerical achievement. It reflects the progress made under the Make it in the Emirates initiative and advances the UAE's aerospace manufacturing positioning.
Sara Al Memari, Acting CEO of Strata Manufacturing, expressed pride in the company's exceptional talent and expertise, which have elevated Strata to a trusted name in the industry. She attributed the company's continuous innovation and progress to its highly qualified Emirati workforce.
Al Memari further highlighted that 67% of Strata's workforce comprises UAE nationals, with 87% of them being females, setting a new industry benchmark and demonstrating the company's commitment to empowering local talent.
Since its inception with a single production line in 2010, Strata has expanded to operate 30 production lines. Over 90% of its components and assemblies are single-sourced and manufactured exclusively at Strata, serving its global partners.
