Sultan bin Ahmed Launches HSE Expo 2026


Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Department of Petroleum, and Chairman of the Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC), inaugurated the 3rd edition of the Health, Safety and Environment Exhibition 2026 at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention from April 1 to 2, 2026. H.H. was accompanied by Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Butti Al Muhairi, Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, and several senior officials.



According to Emirates News Agency, the event began with a video presentation highlighting key aspects of occupational health and safety, as well as achievements from previous editions. The presentation showcased SNOC’s commitment to promoting safety standards and adopting global best practices to protect human resources and ensure sustainable operations.



Dr. Abdulaziz bin Butti Al Muhairi emphasized the importance of occupational safety as a strategic pillar for protecting employees and supporting business sustainability. He noted that technological advancements have transformed safety concepts, enabling more efficient risk prediction and proactive decision-making.



Engineer Khamis Al Mazrouei highlighted the critical nature of the exhibition amid global challenges like climate change and geopolitical developments. He praised the collaborative efforts of Sharjah’s authorities in crisis management and emphasized the importance of flexibility and readiness in facing challenges.



Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour expressed Sharjah’s commitment to safety and well-being, inspired by directives from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. He detailed Sharjah Police’s efforts in developing a comprehensive safety system, reducing injury rates, and establishing a culture of safety.



The event featured a panel discussion, “Operational Excellence,” where experts stressed the importance of workplace health and safety practices, especially in construction. They discussed the formation of the National Occupational Safety and Health Council, which will develop and update safety regulations using artificial intelligence technologies.



H.H. honored the participants for their contributions and toured the exhibition to review government and private sector efforts in health, safety, and environmental services. The exhibition aims to promote collaboration, exchange expertise, and implement innovative solutions to create safer, more sustainable workplaces.
