Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Al-Abbasi chaired today, Monday, the security briefing conference at the headquarters of the Sumer Operations Command.
A statement by the Ministry of Defense stated that Al-Abbasi chaired, on Monday, the security briefing conference that was held at the headquarters of the Sumer Operations Command, in the presence of the Army Chief of Staff, General Abd al-Amir Rashid Yarallah, the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, the Commander of the Ground Forces, the Commander of Sumer Operations, and a number of the senior leaders and officers in the ministry.
During the conference, according to the statement, a detailed briefing was given on the security situation in the sector of responsibility by the Sumer Operations Commander.
The Minister of Defense directed the attendees, according to the statement, with a set of special directives, including cooperation with citizens and making more intelligence efforts to maintain the stability of the security situation in Dhi Qar Governorate.
He also directed the Operations Commander to pay attention to the affairs of the fighters in all respects, as they are the force through which terrorism is defeated and eliminated."
