TikTok Showcases Innovative Workshops at 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026

Dubai: TikTok hosted an impressive lineup of 15 expert-led conversations and workshops as part of the fourth edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, the world's largest event dedicated to shaping the content creator economy. These events, hosted at the dedicated TikTok House space, were meticulously designed to empower content creators with essential skills, monetisation strategies, and advanced content creation techniques, reinforcing TikTok's commitment to driving the growth of the creator economy.

According to Emirated news Agency, the sessions ranged from foundational introductions to deep dives on brand partnerships and production quality. They were hosted by a mix of the TikTok team and prominent content creators, offering attendees a comprehensive roadmap to success on the platform. Kinda Ibrahim, Regional General Manager of Operations for TikTok Middle East, Africa, South and Central Asia, emphasized the company's focus on sustainable growth for creators, sharing practical tools and insights around discovery, safety, and monetisation.

Workshops like 'Level Up Fast: Your Creator Skills Upgrade' and 'Inside TikTok Studio: Tracking Growth with Purpose' offered attendees a chance to understand analytics and content strategy. Online community safety was highlighted in sessions such as 'Behind the Scenes: How We Keep TikTok Safe' and 'Empower Women Creators: Safety and Support', focusing on creating a secure and empowering environment for female creators.

Monetisation strategies were discussed in depth during 'Unlock Monetization: Optimize Live Streaming', and brand partnerships were explored through 'How to Unlock Brand Partnerships on TikTok One'. Workshops also provided insights into how creators can transform content into long-term opportunities from an advertiser's perspective.

Specialised content streams were addressed, with sessions such as 'New Age Fandom: How TikTok is Shaping Entertainment' and 'From the Field to Your For You: Turning Sports Moments into TikToks'. Hands-on workshops like 'Transition Like A Pro' and 'Next Gen Content: High Quality Workshop with Sukoon' empowered creators with technical skills, while 'Storytelling with AI: Your New Creative Advantage' introduced new technology to enhance creative storytelling.

The summit, organised by the UAE Government Media Office, took place from 9th to 11th January 2026 at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, DIFC and the Museum of the Future, under the theme 'Content for Good'. It featured over 580 sessions and specialised networks, hosting more than 15,000 content creators and influencers, 500 expert speakers, and attracted over 30,000 attendees globally.
