Today’s Newspapers Focus On Al-Sudani And Al-Halbousi Stressing The Importance Of Supporting The IHEC For The Success Of The Upcoming Elections

Baghdad, The newspapers issued today, Tuesday, focused on Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani and Speaker of the House of Representatives Muhammad Al-Halbousi stressing the importance of supporting the Independent High Electoral Commission for the success of the upcoming elections.

Al-Zawraa newspaper, which is issued by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, said that the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, and the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, received the Chairman and members of the Board of the Independent High Electoral Commission, and the meeting witnessed an examination of the Commission’s latest preparations and procedures towards holding the provincial council elections, and they emphasized on holding them on a fixed date, which is on December 18, and there is a need to provide full support for this national entitlement.

The Prime Minister explained, according to a statement from his media office, that the strict directives were confirmed to all ministries and state institutions to express support to the Commission in performing its work, in order to make the elections successful, and for their results to be the true expression of the will of our honorable people.

For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives indicated that the elections are a constitutional entitlement, and that the legislative authority is cooperating in its efforts with the executive authority to support the Commission in performing its work to the fullest.

For their part, the Chairman and members of the Commission Board affirmed, during the meeting, the ability of the Commission’s formations to implement the drawn-up plan for the election process according to the specified timings and the established operational schedule, and for the entire electoral process to be conducted within the highest levels of transparency.

Al-Zaman newspaper paid attention to the opening of the Air Force College at Swayrah base and said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani Inaugurated the Air Force College at the Swayrah base.

He said during the occasion, “This college is a edifice to be added to the rest of the colleges and bases, so that our heroes may continue to protect the skies of Iraq and defend its sovereignty.”

Al-Sudani renewed his directives included in the government program regarding restoring the infrastructure of all aspects of the state, including developing the infrastructure of the Ministry of Defense and arming it with the finest international facilities, appreciating the efforts of all parties that contributed to the completion of this important project on time, represented by the Minister of Defense and the Directorate of Military Works, in addition to the role of the Ministries of Oil, Electricity, Finance and Interior, as well as the company implementing the project),

He pointed out that this edifice will provide the army with qualified pilots after they undergo study and training,
