Turkish Gaming Industry Tops $1B in 2025

Istanbul: Trkiye’s gaming industry has achieved a significant milestone by reaching a total volume of $1.01 billion in 2025, marking a 25% growth.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ‘Trkiye Game Market Report 2025’ revealed the market’s substantial growth from its 2024 valuation of $810 million, representing an increase of 51.46% year-on-year in Turkish lira terms. This report, sponsored by major entities like Billonga, Bogazici Ventures, Turk Telekom GAMEON, GPay, JAI Portal, Joygame, Joygame Select, KOCCA, and Xsolla, provides insights into trends across mobile, console, and personal computer (PC) sectors.

The report highlighted that the number of active players in the country reached 50 million, with men accounting for 54% and women for 46% of the total. The number of internet users in Trkiye is approximately 77 million, with internet usage among those aged 16-74 reaching 90.9%. The report offers a data-driven analysis reflecting the gaming ecosystem’s rapid changes, tracking production capacity through platform distribution and city-based concentration.

Ozan Aydemir, president of Gaming in Trkiye MENA EU, noted in the report that the global gaming market has transitioned from an era of uncontrolled rapid expansion to one of deepening and mastery. He emphasized that the competition to retain players has intensified, with growth now measured by how players connect to existing communities within games.

Despite a cautious pace in investment rounds last year, investment data from Startups.watch indicated a shift towards a more selective and smart entrepreneurial climate, while the gaming sector continued to attract investments. Aydemir also mentioned that improvements in Trkiye’s fiber infrastructure have directly enhanced the gaming experience, transforming gaming into an ‘experience package’ delivered through access, service, and community.
