UAE Aid Ship Departs for Pakistan with 2500 Tons of Relief Supplies for Afghanistan

Abu Dhabi: The UAE aid ship has embarked on a journey to Gwadar Port in Pakistan, carrying a substantial cargo of 2500 tons of food, shelter, and medical supplies. This mission is part of a broader initiative to deliver much-needed relief to the Afghan people.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the shipment is being undertaken following the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The relief effort is aimed at supporting the Afghan people, who are reeling from the aftermath of a devastating earthquake that recently struck the eastern regions of the country.

The supplies on board the ship are intended for overland transport to Afghanistan, where they will help address the urgent needs of those affected by the natural disaster. The initiative underscores the UAE’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance and supporting the Afghan population during this challenging time.
