UAE and Iraq Leaders Discuss Collaboration and Regional Stability

Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani met in Abu Dhabi to review the strong ties between their nations and explore ways to enhance collaboration. The meeting was held at Qasr Al Shati, where the UAE President welcomed the Iraqi Prime Minister during his working visit to the UAE.

According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in developmental and economic fields, to support both countries' priorities and benefit their populations. The leaders also addressed regional and international issues of mutual concern, sharing perspectives on recent developments in the Middle East. They stressed the importance of diplomatic initiatives to support regional security, stability, and development.

The conversation included a discussion on the international recognition of the State of Palestine as a step towards fulfilling Palestinian aspirations. Both leaders affirmed the strength of UAE-Iraq relations and their commitment to enhancing cooperation to serve both countries' interests and reinforce regional stability and security. They also emphasized the need for joint Arab action in addressing regional challenges.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Abdulla Matar Al Mazrouei, and other senior officials. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Al Sudani was welcomed at Abu Dhabi's Presidential Flight by H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and several ministers and senior officials.
