DUBAI, The UAE Badminton Federation has announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with several strategic partners strengthening its vision of inspiring generations and producing badminton champions.
Sheikh Mana Bin Hasher Al Maktoum Medical Complex and Xtra Sports Academy were announced as the federation’s medical and academy partners after they signed an agreement at an event in Dubai on Sunday.
In the coming time, the federation plans to sign more partnerships with various entities and companies to support various tournaments and develop the game across the UAE.
Noura Al Jasmi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Badminton Federation, welcomed the strategic partners on board and expressed the federation’s eagerness to work towards the development of its players and the sport.
She also confirmed that the federation is coordinating work and cooperating with all partners to develop the work system and attract more players participating in various tournaments, as well as providing support and facilities for them.
Delighted by the association, Dr. Mohamed Al-Masry, Chairman of Board of Directors of Sheikh Mana Bin Hasher Al Maktoum Medical Complex, shared that the facility will provide full medical coverage and support to the badminton players. “Through this association, we will be providing medical check-up, rehabilitation, medical intervention, pre-identification, and assessment etc. to the players before and during competitions. We are very thrilled about this association and wishing the federation the very best.”
Meanwhile, Xtra Sports Academy Director Rasi Bala added, “Xtra Sports Academy has facilities across the UAE, and we are very excited to be associated with the National Federation and offer these facilities to their players. Like any other sport, in badminton we need to find the talents from school level and train them. So, this association will help the sport grow in the country.”
Ahead of the signing ceremony, a medical examination was conducted on all the players present during the event by MMC Polyclinic to know their fitness level and to support them in their overall health in their training and tournaments.
The highlight of the day was a strategic stakeholders’ workshop held in the presence of representatives of the General Sports Authority, the Dubai Sports Council, the Special Olympics, and the strategic partners.
Emphasis was placed on how to inspire new generations to the game, and to make its heroes, as well as discussing the working relationship between the Federation and the partners.
Al Jasmi explained that the workshop was held with the strategic partners, during which a detailed presentation was also made by all the committees of the Federation on its mechanism of work in promoting the game.
