UAE Commits AED200 Billion Investment in Sustainable Energy Over Six Years.

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has announced plans to invest AED200 billion in sustainable energy over the next six years, as revealed by Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure. This substantial investment is aimed at decarbonising the economy and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.According to Emirates News Agency, Suhail Al Mazrouei shared these plans during the launch of ADIPEC 2024. He emphasized the UAE's efforts to diversify its energy mix and increase its reliance on clean energy sources, aligning with the objective of reducing carbon intensity in oil and gas operations by an additional 25% over the next decade.Al Mazrouei highlighted the UAE's role as a model for a practical transition to clean energy sources. He reiterated the country's commitment to meeting current global energy needs while investing heavily in clean energy systems for the future. The UAE already has significant investments in clean energy projects, both in operation and under development.
