UAE Judo Team Set to Compete in Dushanbe Grand Slam

Dushanbe: The UAE Judo Federation announced that the national judo team will be participating in the Dushanbe Grand Slam in Tajikistan from April 30th to May 3rd under the supervision of the International Federation. The team will be competing in three weight categories, which include men's lightweight and half-middleweight, and women's heavyweight.

According to Emirates News Agency, the final squad for the competition consists of Karim Abdel Latif in the under 73 kg category, Amr Gad in the under 81 kg category, and Eliza Litif in the under 78 kg category. The delegation is scheduled to arrive in Dushanbe on Tuesday, in preparation for the competition. The draw ceremony will be conducted on Thursday via video technology, preceding the preliminary rounds, which are set to commence the following day at the Tennis Palace Hall in Dushanbe.

The UAE delegation will be led by Dr. Nasser Al Tamimi, who is a member of the National Olympic Committee, Vice President of the Federation, and Treasurer of the International Federation. He will be joined by coach Viktor Sektrov and the supporting staff to oversee the team's participation in the event.
