Abu Dhabi:UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed His Excellency Dr. Markus Söder, Minister-President of Bavaria, during a working visit to the UAE. The meeting aimed to reaffirm and expand cooperation between the UAE and Bavaria in sectors crucial for future growth.
According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions highlighted the commitment of both parties to enhance partnerships in fields such as the economy, advanced technology, energy, innovation, and industry. They also reflected on Sheikh Mohamed’s recent visit to Germany, which yielded positive outcomes in bilateral relations, and explored opportunities to build on this momentum through long-term economic and developmental partnerships.
The meeting also addressed the upcoming 2026 UN Water Conference, set to be hosted in the UAE in December. Both leaders emphasized the conference’s significance in fostering collective efforts to find innovative solutions to water challenges and in promoting sustainable water security, vital to global development.
In attendance at the meeting were several prominent UAE figures, including H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and other high-ranking officials and ministers. The Bavarian delegation accompanying Dr. Söder also participated in the discussions.
