According to Nam News Network, during their phone call, the leaders addressed the ongoing situation in the region, particularly the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They emphasized the significance of maintaining the ceasefire and ensuring that humanitarian aid reaches civilians without obstruction.
The discussion also highlighted the necessity of a just and lasting peace, centered on the two-state solution, which they identified as the sole viable path to achieving regional stability and a better future for the peoples in the area.
The commitment to strengthening the enduring UAE-Britain partnership was reaffirmed by both sides, aiming to advance shared interests and promote prosperity.
The statement from the British Prime Minister’s office noted that the conversation also covered the ongoing conflict in Sudan. Prime Minister Starmer expressed Britain’s stance, urging all involved parties to cease hostilities and support peace efforts.
