UAE President Discusses Strategic National Projects with ENEC Delegation.

UAE: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today received a delegation from the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), accompanied by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority and Chairman of the ENEC Board of Directors. The meeting, held at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, focused on commending the delegation's efforts in driving strategic national projects and their contributions to the UAE's progress and development.According to Emirates News Agency, His Highness highlighted the nation's commitment to advancing towards a sustainable future, emphasizing the critical role of the qualified national workforce in leading strategic projects. He noted the importance of ensuring the sustainability of the country's resources and enhancing the UAE's global position in the clean energy transition, in line with the nation's current and future needs.The delegation, comprising board members and senior officials of ENEC, expressed their delight in meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and acknowledged his steadfast support for empowering Emiratis and enhancing their role in national advancement. The start of commercial operations at Unit 4 of the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant in September was recognized as a significant milestone in the UAE's transition to clean energy and its pursuit of net zero emissions by 2050.The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials, including H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; and other prominent figures, ministers, senior officials, citizens, and guests.
