Abu dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, engaged in talks today to explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, focusing on economy, trade, development, and sustainability.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting was part of His Excellency Ramaphosa's working visit to the UAE and occurred on the sidelines of the 2026 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The leaders underscored the importance of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week as a global platform for exchanging expertise and ideas, aiming to develop innovative and effective solutions to global sustainability challenges.
Both leaders reiterated their shared interest in sustainability and emphasized their commitment to strengthening cooperation, particularly in renewable energy and the green economy, to support their mutual development objectives.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and several ministers and senior officials.
