According to Emirates News Agency, Jastrab was well-supported by her teammates during the 140-kilometre race from Sint-Pieters-Leeuw to Oetingen. In the early stages of the race, the team focused on controlling the peloton and safeguarding their fast riders, with Alena Ivanchenko, Fee Knaven, and Eilidh Shaw playing pivotal roles. Belgian rider Febe Jooris was instrumental in the decisive phase, ensuring Jastrab and Sofie van Rooijen were in optimal positions.
In the race’s final kilometres, Sofie van Rooijen expertly guided Jastrab into position at the base of the crucial climb that would determine the race’s outcome. During this critical moment, Lorena Wiebes from SD Worx – Protime launched a successful attack, with only Lidl – Trek’s Fleur Moors able to keep pace. The pair quickly distanced themselves from the pack, with Wiebes ultimately claiming victory.
Meanwhile, Megan Jastrab and Ilse Pluimers from AG Insurance – Soudal Team formed a duo in pursuit. Jastrab showcased her speed in the sprint for third place, securing her first podium finish with UAE Team ADQ.
