Upper Air Trough to Influence Weather Patterns in Region

Abu Dhabi: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has reported that the region is currently under the influence of an upper air trough extending from the west. This meteorological condition is accompanied by various cloud formations, a relatively cold air mass, and an extension of a surface low pressure originating from the southwest.

According to Emirates News Agency, the weather from Sunday night to Monday is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy, with light to moderate rainfall occurring over scattered areas of the country. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall over limited areas, particularly in the northern and eastern regions.

Winds are anticipated to be light to moderate, shifting from southeasterly to northeasterly, and eventually becoming northwesterly. These winds may freshen at times, leading to blowing dust inland. The sea conditions are predicted to be light to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
