The US economy added 209,000 in June, and the unemployment rate changed little at 3.6 percent, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment continued to trend up in government, health care, social assistance and construction.
Both the unemployment rate, at 3.6 percent, and the number of unemployed persons, at 6.0 million, changed little in June, the report indicated.
The unemployment rate has ranged from 3.4 percent to 3.7 percent since March 2022.
Furthermore, the labor force participation rate was 62.6 percent in June for the fourth consecutive month.
