Abu dhabi: Under the sponsorship of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Emirati citizen Mira Ibrahim Abdullah Al Jamali, winner of the 'RAK Talent Award,' has been awarded a business project valued at AED2.5 million. The project, an equipped shop located at Al Manar Mall, was presented in the presence of notable figures including Mohamed Mosbbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the RAK Chamber, Arifa Saleh Al Falahi, Board Member, Benoy Kurien, CEO of Al Hamra Group, and Lee Northmore, Vice President of Al Manar Mall and Head of the Award Judging Committee.
According to Emirates News Agency, the award is organized by the Saud bin Saqr Establishment for Youth Project Development and supported by the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Hosted by Al Manar Mall as part of the RAK EATS Festival, this initiative aligns with a competitive journey launched last year to empower Emirati talents in the food and beverage sector. It aims to foster innovation and enrich entrepreneurship in the Emirate by transforming exceptional ideas into successful, sustainable commercial projects.
Mohamed Mosbbeh Al Nuaimi emphasized that the award has met its key objectives by garnering widespread interest from citizens across the UAE. The initiative's website attracted approximately 4,555 visitors, resulting in 635 submissions that underwent a rigorous evaluation process based on professional standards. These submissions were meticulously assessed by specialized evaluation committees to identify the project that best exemplified innovation and excellence.
Al Nuaimi highlighted that the award's success underscores the growing emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation within the region. He commended the collaborative efforts of the RAK Chamber, the Saud bin Saqr Establishment for Youth Project Development, the Award Judging Committee, and all partners involved in making the initiative a triumph.
Dr. Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that receiving the winning business project marks the beginning of an investment journey. This initiative reflects Ras Al Khaimah's vision of investing in human capital, empowering national talents, and converting innovative ideas into economic projects that will enhance the Emirate's competitive edge and solidify its status as a hub for investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
He further stated that Ras Al Khaimah is committed to advancing a knowledge- and innovation-based economy by launching initiatives that provide a supportive environment for innovators and entrepreneurs. Dr. Al Nuaimi also emphasized that the real value of the award extends beyond the project itself, offering a complete ecosystem that includes a prime commercial location, a three-year rent exemption, and operational, marketing, and management support. This comprehensive support system is designed to ensure the project's sustainability and success, aligning with the Emirate's vision of building competitive national projects that add value to the national economy.
