World Robot Conference Unveils Over 100 New Robotics Products in Beijing

Beijing: The World Robot Conference (WRC) opened in Beijing on Friday, showcasing over 100 cutting-edge robotics products, nearly twice the number presented the previous year. The conference runs from Friday to Tuesday in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, also known as Beijing E-Town, under the theme "Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent."

According to Emirates News Agency, the 2025 edition of the WRC features forums, exhibitions, competitions, and networking events, with approximately 200 leading robotics companies from around the globe presenting more than 1,500 exhibits. The event attracts over 400 guests, including domestic and international scientists, top experts, representatives from international organizations, and entrepreneurs, who will participate in the main forum and over 20 thematic forums to explore technology and industry trends, technology applications, and innovations in robotics.

A highlight of the conference is the debut of cutting-edge products, such as agile quadruped robots, rescue robots, inspection robots, novel catheter-shaping robots, and robotic lawn mowers, providing attendees with insights into the future of intelligent machines. Humanoid robots are a major attraction, with 50 manufacturers of full-body humanoid robots presenting their latest innovations.

The conference includes more than 31 side events aimed at strengthening international cooperation, expanding real-world applications including standard testing, accelerating technological breakthroughs, and promoting industrial talent cultivation. In 2024, China accounted for two-thirds of global robot patent applications and produced 556,000 industrial robots, maintaining its position as the world's top manufacturer.
