Zakat Authority Office in Dhamar launches awareness campaign on importance of performing zakat obligation

The office of the General Authority for Zakat in Dhamar province launched a field awareness campaign for the commercial sector on the importance of performing the zakat obligation.At the inauguration, Director of the Zakat Authority Office, Ibrahim Al-Mutawakkil, stressed the importance of enhancing Zakat awareness among taxpayers and various segments of society, as a reminder of the importance of performing Zakat obligation and introducing the projects implemented by the Authority.While the Director of the Awareness Department at the Zakat Authority Office in the provinces, Hashem Al-Mutawakkil, stressed the importance of the campaign to remind taxpayers of the importance of this important pillar of Islam, and the amount of zakat on trade offers and other aspects.He stated that the campaign includes distributing brochures and posters in markets and shops, in addition to implementing awareness programmes.Source: Yemen News Agency
