Baghdad, The Border Ports Authority announced the arrest of a foreign traveler in his possession of a narcotic herbal substance weighing 2 kg at the Safwan border crossing.
The Authority stated in a statement that the seizure took place at the Iraqi gate during a search by our detachments in cooperation with the supporting departments, where a committee was formed and a formal seizure report was organized and the accused and the substance seized were referred to the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs Division in Safwan to take appropriate legal measures.
