Ankara, An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck on Wednesday Malatya state, southern Turkiye.The epicenter of the earthquake occurred in the Dogansehir district, at a depth of 13.9 km, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported.There have been no reports of casualties or material losses due to the earthquake, as teams are conducting a field survey in the area.A violent 7.7-magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkiye and northern Syria February 2023, followed by a 7.6-magnitude quake and thousands of violent aftershocks, which resulted in tens of thousands of victims, and caused massive devastation.Source: Qatar News Agency
