Earthquake of 3.2 Magnitude Strikes Northeast of Algiers

An earthquake measuring 3.2 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Thursday Bouira Province, northeast of the Algerian capital, without any records of human or material losses.The Algerian Center of Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Geophysics (CRAAG) identified in a statement that the epicenter of the earthquake as 7 km, southeast of Bouira Province.From time to time, Algeria is exposed to earthquakes, the most violent of which was the 6.8-magnitude earthquake in Boumerdes in May 2003 that killed 2,277 people and caused great material losses and destruction in the area.Source: Qatar News Agency
