Kuwait city: Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on Thursday its strong condemnation of the Israeli Knesset’s motion to annex the occupied West Bank and impose its sovereignty, an act seen as a challenge to international law.
According to Emirates News Agency, a statement from the ministry, circulated via KUNA, described the move as a blatant violation of international law. The statement noted that it exemplifies the Israeli occupation’s ongoing efforts to escalate tensions in the region. Kuwait urged the international community and the UN Security Council to fulfill their responsibilities and take necessary action.
The ministry’s statement also reaffirmed Kuwait’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause. It reiterated Kuwait’s backing for the establishment of an independent Palestinian State, based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
