Dubai: MrBeast, policymakers, and education leaders called for the power of digital influence to be harnessed for humanitarian impact during a session at the 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai. Speaking at the session titled the 1 Billion Acts of Kindness, Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, expressed hope that his work inspires other creators to use their platforms for good.

According to Emirates News Agency, MrBeast shared his wish for his videos to inspire more creators to engage in positive actions. He noted his passion-driven approach to content creation and discussed his extensive work in healthcare, which he hopes will motivate others. As the creator of the world's largest YouTube channel, MrBeast has revolutionized digital entertainment with his ambitious challenges and philanthropic endeavors aimed at making kindness viral.

The session also saw the announcement of 20 creators who will accompany MrBeast to Ghana later this year to help build a village, marking the official launch of the global 1 Billion Acts of Kindness mission. MrBeast revealed that out of 170,000 submissions, 10 creators were selected from around the world to join this initiative in aid of one million children in a West African camp.

The 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026, organized by the UAE Government Media Office, was hosted in Dubai across Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future, under the theme 'Content for Good.' Saeed Al Eter, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Projects and Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office, emphasized the significant impact of digital creators on social priorities and the potential for real positive change.

Al Eter underscored the necessity of partnerships between governments, NGOs, and content creators to address today's unprecedented humanitarian challenges. Sunny Varkey, founder of the Varkey Foundation, stressed the importance of kindness in learning, particularly in the digital age. He called on content creators to promote positive values, pointing to the global educational crisis with 272 million children out of school. Varkey challenged creators to make education a viral trend, emphasizing its value as the greatest gift for a child.

Jeffery Housenbold, CEO of Beast Industries, encouraged creators to commit early to meaningful causes. He advised that regardless of the size of their audience, creators should be authentic and driven by purpose. Housenbold acknowledged the courage of creators, noting their desire for fame coupled with a willingness to make an impact.
