Abu dhabi: Investopia organised a partners event in the city, revealing the launch of its fifth flagship edition, Investopia 2026. Scheduled to take place from 31st March to 2nd April 2026, the event will be held under the theme ‘Creating Opportunities in a New Economic Era’. This edition aims to gather a wide range of leaders, ministers, government officials, entrepreneurs, investors, and decision-makers globally.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event also announced Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi as Co-Chair of Investopia’s Board of Trustees and Mohamed Abdulrahman Alhawi as President. These appointments reflect a new governance structure that aims to expand investment opportunities across key economic sectors and enhance dialogue between the public and private sectors.
Mohamed Alsuwaidi highlighted the significance of this new chapter for Investopia, emphasizing its role as a joint platform of the Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Economy and Tourism. He noted that Investopia has been pivotal in strengthening the UAE’s investment ecosystem and establishing itself as a global platform for dialogue and partnership.
Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, congratulated Alsuwaidi and Alhawi on their new roles and affirmed the Ministry of Investment’s role in strengthening Investopia’s global presence. He emphasized the initiative’s contribution to enhancing the UAE’s appeal to investors by showcasing its business environment and investment enablers.
Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, remarked on the UAE’s expanding global presence driven by strategic partnerships. He highlighted the role of platforms like Investopia in creating enabling business environments and supporting national entities in exploring strategic investment opportunities.
Investopia 2026 will focus on entrepreneurship and startups, the new economy and partnerships, and global capital flows. These tracks will be explored through panel sessions, workshops, business forums, and other interactive programmes. The event will also feature awards for innovative entrepreneurs representing the next generation of global economic leaders.
The event revealed Investopia’s strategic partners for 2026, including Innovo, EDGE group, SkyKapital, and others. A ministerial panel discussed Investopia’s new vision and strategic directions, emphasizing its role in stimulating investment across vital sectors and fostering innovation.
Rola Abu Manneh, CEO of Standard Chartered, and Ahmad Ali Alwan, CEO of Hub71, participated in sessions highlighting Investopia’s impact on attracting investors and supporting the UAE’s vision for growth in new economy sectors. Both leaders emphasized their commitment to leveraging Investopia to drive economic growth and foster meaningful partnerships.
The event also announced key international host cities for Investopia Global Talks in 2026, including Athens, Berlin, Tashkent, and Milan. These events aim to bring together global business leaders, investors, and innovators to discuss trends in the global investment landscape and explore growth opportunities.
