Abu dhabi: The competent authorities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi responded to a fire incident that erupted in an electrical generator outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra Region, following a drone strike. The incident resulted in no injuries, and radiological safety levels remained unaffected.
According to Emirates News Agency, all precautionary measures have been implemented, with further updates to be provided as they become available. The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) confirmed that the fire had no impact on the safety of the power plant or the operational readiness of its essential systems, with all units continuing to function normally.
