Sharjah:H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, participated in the student evaluation performances at the Rubu' Qarn Music Centre in Mughaidir Suburb. The event, organized by the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, showcased the artistic and musical talents of young participants.
According to Wam, H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan honored the ballet students for their dedication, praising their performances and talents. The foundation aims to nurture young talent, encouraging creativity and excellence through these initiatives.
The evaluation performances demonstrated the participants' ongoing development in artistic and musical skills, boosting their self-confidence and ability to perform before an audience. Students presented their skills in ballet, piano, cello, violin, oud, nay, qanun, guitar, wind instruments, Western percussion, and both Arabic and Western vocal performances. Musical projects created using computer-based technology were also featured.
The performances marked an opportunity for participants to showcase their knowledge and experience gained under expert guidance. The first day featured a musical piece with oud, qanun, and percussion instruments, while the second day began with a ballet performance by children, highlighting the centre's diverse musical disciplines and integrated artistic approach.
This initiative is part of the centre's efforts to enhance educational and artistic experiences, moving beyond traditional assessments to a more interactive format. This modern approach helps evaluate participants' technical and performance levels while considering pedagogical and psychological learning aspects.
At an institutional level, the initiative aligns with the centre's strategy to improve its educational and artistic framework, integrating periodic performance indicators to monitor student progress. The centre aims to align with ISO 21001 standards, promoting continuous improvement of educational programmes and enhancing teaching methods.
The activity is part of a strategic initiative for 2026-2027, including events like 'Rubu' Qarn Celebrates Its Musical Family', the 'Rubu' Qarn Talent Festival', and 'Rubu' Qarn Members and Instructors Celebrate World Music Day'. The initiative reflects the foundation's efforts to use artistic education for developing creativity, leadership skills, and personal growth among young people, promoting music as a tool for character development.
