New York:Oil prices surged by more than $3 on Friday, reaching their highest levels in nearly six months.
According to Wam, Brent crude futures settled at $116.72 per barrel, marking an increase of $3.55 or 3.14 percent, the highest since April 29. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude closed at $103.27 per barrel, rising by $3.80 or 3.8 percent.
Brent concluded the week with a 6 percent increase, while WTI ended with a 2.3 percent gain.
