Calder Ltd Targets UAE Expansion in Industrial Equipment Sector

Abu Dhabi:Calder Ltd, a UK-based company, is focusing on expanding its presence in the United Arab Emirates, with an emphasis on the industrial equipment and solutions sector. Steve Sharp, the Sales Director, underscored the strategic importance of the UAE in the company's Middle East plans, noting the region's economic strengths, advanced infrastructure, and a supportive business environment. Opportunities in the oil, gas, and energy sectors are particularly attractive for companies like Calder that specialize in industrial solutions.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sharp discussed the company's plans on the sidelines of ADIPEC 2026, emphasizing that Abu Dhabi is a key destination for Calder's expansion. The city offers diverse operations in the energy sector and a growing demand for technical solutions and equipment. Calder is looking into the completion of ADNOC's registration and qualification requirements, as well as compliance with the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme, which emphasizes local economic contributions.

Furthermore, Calder is considering various options to establish a local presence in the UAE. These include opening a branch, forming a strategic partnership, or appointing a local commercial agent with expertise in the energy sector. Such steps would enable Calder to participate in projects and meet sector needs effectively.

In addition, the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) is being considered for establishing manufacturing or assembly operations, workshops, or maintenance centers. These facilities would support Calder's operations and enhance its contribution to the energy sector's associated industries and services in the UAE.

Calder's portfolio features specialized solutions and equipment, including multiphase pumps, chemical injection packages, and well intervention equipment. The company also provides high-pressure water blasting solutions for refinery cleaning, catering to the operational and technical demands of onshore and offshore oil and gas operations and the refining sector.
