Sharjah:The Sharjah Digital Department (SDD), in partnership with the Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR) and Dell Technologies, has unveiled a new training programme designed to bolster artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities within the government workforce. The programme aims to equip 1,000 participants with AI skills through a range of learning and hands-on training tracks tailored for government leaders, employees, and technical specialists in Sharjah.
According to Emirates News Agency, the initiative is part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between SDD and Dell Technologies in April 2026, which focuses on transferring technical knowledge, enhancing institutional readiness for AI, and supporting its application in government operations. This programme is a cornerstone of the Sharjah Digital Transformation Strategy 2026-2028, which emphasizes the development of human and institutional capabilities to drive sustainable digital transformation.
Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director-General of Sharjah Digital Department, highlighted the importance of developing human capabilities to achieve the emirate's digital transformation goals.
