Abu dhabi: Russia's Ekaterina Alexandrova has advanced to the final of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Women's Tennis Open (WTA 500) after a hard-fought victory over American Hailey Baptiste in the semifinals. Alexandrova secured her place in the final by triumphing in three sets, 3-6, 7-6, 6-3, during Friday night's match.According to Emirates News Agency, Alexandrova will compete against Czech player Sara Bejlek in the final. Bejlek earned her spot in the championship match with a three-set win against Denmark's Clara Tauson, finishing with a scoreline of 7-5, 3-6, 7-5 in the other semifinal.The highly anticipated final is scheduled to take place on Saturday at the International Tennis Centre at Zayed Sports City.
