Washington: Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Bahraini Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Scott Bessent, the US Secretary of the Treasury, during the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Spring Meetings. The discussions centered on bilateral financial and economic cooperation.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted the longstanding relationship and strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United States. He emphasized the ongoing growth in the financial and economic sectors and the mutual commitment to further enhancing these ties.
Bahrain News Agency (BNA) noted that the meeting reviewed the existing financial and economic cooperation between the two countries, focusing on ways to enhance coordination and create additional opportunities. Discussions also covered regional developments and updates on the global economy.
