Abu dhabi: At least seven passengers lost their lives when a bus caught fire in southern Vietnam early on Tuesday, as reported by local police.
According to Emirates News Agency, the tragic incident occurred as the bus was making its journey from Dong province to Ho Chi Minh City, a prominent business hub. The flames rapidly consumed the 24-seat vehicle, trapping passengers inside, as confirmed by a statement from the police-led Ministry of Public Security.
In addition to the fatalities, five other passengers sustained injuries, as reported by state media. An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched by the police to determine the factors leading to this unfortunate event.
