Dubai: Creators HQ, the first dedicated creators' hub in the UAE and the Middle East, in collaboration with Alfan, a leading content creator empowerment platform, has unveiled the opening of applications for their pioneering Social Content Fund programme. This initiative is designed for content creators who wish to be part of the programme's inaugural cohort.
According to Emirates News Agency, this announcement follows a strategic partnership agreement between Creators HQ and Alfan, formalized during the 4th edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, concluded in Dubai on January 11, 2026. The programme was officially announced at the Creators Gathering event held at Atlantis, The Palm Dubai, which began today and brought together over 1,000 content creators and media professionals.
The Creators Gathering, organised by Creators HQ, features an agenda filled with panel discussions and workshops led by top creators. These activities aim to enhance the skills of content creators, improve their digital toolkits, and elevate the quality and impact of Arabic content across various digital platforms.
The Social Content Fund initiative is set to support content creators focusing on family- and society-centered themes. It aims to fund the production of high-quality creative content that fosters family cohesion, promotes societal values, and nurtures future generations based on compassion and shared goals. The programme will culminate with the announcement of winners of the AED 5 million funding at the 5th edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit in 2027.
Alia AlHammadi, Vice Chairperson of the UAE Government Media Office and CEO of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, highlighted the fund as a strategic investment in collective awareness, positioning creators as contributors to Arab family cohesion through meaningful content. She stressed the UAE's commitment to advancing a content economy that instills family values and fosters positive social impacts.
Mohamad Fattal, Founder and CEO of Alfan, expressed Alfan's commitment to equipping Social Content Fund participants with the tools needed to succeed. He described the launch as a milestone for elevating social content to professional standards, supporting creators in delivering impactful content.
The Social Content Fund targets creators of educational, edutainment, human-interest storytelling, animation, and health and nutrition content that is family-friendly and socially empowering. Creators HQ and Alfan will provide AED 5 million in support to 50 content creators, offering training, advanced equipment, studio access, and collaboration opportunities with brands and platforms to ensure project sustainability.
Applications for the Social Content Fund programme are open until May 10, 2026, via https://creatorshq.com/alfan-x-creators-hq/. Applicants must have a substantial follower base, high-quality video production, and a positive content outlook that aligns with programme goals.
The programme offers participants workshops, marketing opportunities, financial growth support, and access to the Alfan.io platform. Additionally, it provides relocation assistance and Golden Visa support to attract global talent, reinforcing the UAE's position as a digital content hub and incubator for international creators.
