DCT Abu Dhabi Hosts Pritzker Architecture Lecture

Abu Dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has concluded the 2025 Pritzker Architecture Lecture, titled 'On Land: A Model for Community', at the Cultural Foundation. The discussion took place ahead of the 2025 Pritzker Architecture Prize Ceremony, which will be held at the Louvre Abu Dhabi today. This marks a historic first for the region.

According to Emirates News Agency, the lecture was led by Liu Jiakun, the 2025 Laureate, and included fellow Laureates Riken Yamamoto (2024) and David Chipperfield (2023). The panellists examined the power of architecture in elevating cultural integrity while shaping communities. They also reflected on their own practice and the future of the built environment.

The Pritzker Architecture Prize, the world's most esteemed recognition in the field of architecture, honours living architects whose work demonstrates a combination of talent, vision, and commitment.

Abu Dhabi's selection as the host city for the 2025 ceremony signifies a new chapter in the UAE capital's cultural journey.
