Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, together with Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Salik, witnessed the signing of a 10-year agreement aimed at implementing seamless E-Wallet parking payments at Dubai International (DXB). This initiative marks a collaboration between Salik, Dubai's exclusive toll-gate operator, and Dubai Airports, which manages the world's busiest international airport.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement will facilitate the introduction of Salik's E-Wallet payment solution across all paid car parks at DXB. This will cover 7,400 designated parking spaces spanning Terminals 1, 2, 3, and the Cargo Mega Terminal, with implementation set to begin on 22nd January.
The agreement was formalized through the signing by Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, Chief Executive Officer of Salik, and Paul Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Airports. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organizations.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Salik will integrate its E-Wallet system with the current car park management systems used by Dubai Airports' appointed car park concessionaire. This integration aims to provide a seamless payment experience for visitors, thus enhancing traffic flow and easing the parking process.
Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, Chief Executive Officer of Salik, remarked that the integration of Salik's E-Wallet at DXB will offer an efficient experience for road users and contribute to advancing mobility solutions within the emirate.
Paul Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Airports, stated that the collaboration with Salik introduces a fast and reliable digital payment option. This development is expected to simplify the parking process, reduce exit queue times, and align with Dubai Airports' long-term vision for improved car park access.
Salik's E-Wallet solution will be available across all designated parking spaces, ensuring coverage for Terminals 1, 2, 3, and the Cargo Mega Terminal.
