Dubai Airshow 2025 Set to Showcase Unprecedented Aerospace Innovations

Dubai: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Airshow 2025 will be held from 17 to 21 November at Dubai World Central (DWC) under the theme 'The Future is Here.' The event is expected to attract global industry leaders to define the next phase of development for the aerospace and defense sectors, marking its 19th edition as potentially the largest yet.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Dubai Airshow has become a leading global platform for investment, emerging technologies, and collaboration, with next-generation innovations at the forefront. The event will host over 1,500 exhibitors, including 440 new exhibitors, 148,000 trade visitors, and 490 military and civil delegations from 115 countries. The airshow will feature 21 country pavilions, including a debut by Morocco, along with 98 chalets and 8,000 square meters of additional exhibition space.

More than 200 aircraft, ranging from commercial, military, private jets, UAVs, and next-generation technologies, will be part of the flying and static displays, the largest in the event's history. Highlights include the Joby Aviation eVTOL, General Atomics CCA, Bristell B23 915 IFR, and newcomers COMAC C919 and C909. Reinforcing the UAE's ambition to lead in space innovation, the event will feature the largest-ever Space Pavilion, organized in partnership with the UAE Space Agency.

Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency, emphasized the significance of the event in showcasing the UAE's progress in the space sector. He highlighted the UAE's efforts to translate the objectives of the National Space Strategy 2030 into a reality, contributing to a sustainable space economy. The two-day Space Conference will bring together over 50 global experts, astronauts, and industry leaders to explore responsible space use and future exploration missions.

Major General Mubarak Saeed bin Ghafan Al Jabri, Executive Director of the Military Committee of the airshow, noted the strategic importance of the Dubai Airshow in showcasing the UAE's commitment to defense innovation and national security. The event will feature elite aerobatic teams and flying displays, emphasizing operational excellence and global collaborations.

The 2025 edition will include a comprehensive conference program with over 450 industry experts across four stages and 12 dedicated tracks. New tracks such as MRO, Airport and Airline Keynotes hosted by Dubai Airports, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), Passenger Experience, Workforce Development, Cybersecurity, and Airport Tech will be introduced. Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, expressed pride in hosting the inaugural Airport and Airline Keynote Track.

The event will also highlight Advanced Air Mobility, featuring a landmark Dubai Airshow-first with electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, including Joby Aviation's eVTOL. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, emphasized Dubai's ambition in advanced air mobility.

The Inspiration Zone will bring together early-stage founders, startups, and industry leaders to test ideas and connect. Sustainability initiatives, including the supply of Sustainable Aviation Fuel and electric ground equipment, will be a defining theme. The Dubai Airshow will also extend into the evening with night-time sessions, elevating the visitor experience.

For five days, the public grandstand arena SkyView will offer visitors the chance to watch spectacular flying displays and enjoy immersive exhibits, dynamic aerial performances, and live entertainment, designed to captivate and inspire all ages.
