Dubai:The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has launched an enhanced Ejari service through the DubaiNow app, aiming to streamline the customer journey and enhance accessibility, efficiency, security, and transparency in real estate services. This service integrates key tenancy procedures into a unified government platform.
According to Emirates News Agency, the enhanced digital journey allows customers to create and register tenancy contracts in a single process, with immediate issuance of the Ejari certificate upon contract approval. It also facilitates the renewal and cancellation of contracts through a digital process that connects landlords and tenants via UAE PASS, promoting faster completion with improved security and transparency.
The upgraded Ejari service enables customers to pay their DEWA security deposit directly within the same digital journey, activating electricity and water services for the property. This enhancement reflects the ongoing collaboration and digital integration between the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and the Dubai Land Department, reinforcing the 'One Government' concept to elevate the customer experience.
These enhancements align with the DLD's implementation of the Dubai Government's 'Services 360' policy, which aims to deliver seamless, proactive, and integrated services focused on customer needs. The improved Ejari process through 'DubaiNow' demonstrates this approach by allowing customers to complete multiple procedures in a streamlined and connected manner, thereby supporting quality of life and easier access to digital government services.
Additionally, the service supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Digital Strategy by promoting government service integration, enhancing digital service efficiency, and reinforcing Dubai's status as a global leader in seamless and intelligent government services.
Mohammed Ali Al Badwawi, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at DLD, described the launch of the enhanced Ejari service as a milestone in the evolution of Dubai's digital real estate services. He emphasized the department's collaboration with strategic partners to simplify procedures and create a more integrated experience for customers through a trusted government platform.
Dr. Moza Suwaidan, Executive Director of the Digital Applications and Platforms Sector at the Digital Dubai Government Establishment, highlighted the collaboration with government partners to implement directives from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The integration of the Ejari service into DubaiNow is a practical step towards a unified government that enhances the customer experience.
Marwan Bin Haidar, Executive Vice President of Innovation and the Future at DEWA, underscored the importance of integrating DEWA's services with Ejari through the DubaiNow app, which supports accelerated digital transformation and improves customer experiences through cohesive government cooperation. This integration is part of efforts to position Dubai as a leading digital city globally.
