Dubai Launches ‘Engineers Incubator’ to Foster Emirati-Owned Firms

Dubai:The Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) has initiated the 'Engineers Incubator' program in collaboration with Dubai Municipality, the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai, and the New Economy Academy. This initiative aims to establish 50 Emirati-owned companies in the contracting and engineering consultancy sectors.

According to Emirates News Agency, the 'Engineers Incubator' is designed to open new avenues for entrepreneurship within Dubai's housing sector. It offers an intensive training program that merges theoretical knowledge with practical experience, helping to transform national talent into entrepreneurs and key partners in the development of the housing ecosystem.

The initiative's strategic goals include nurturing a new generation of Emirati entrepreneurs, enhancing project execution quality, and boosting the contribution of Emirati-owned companies to housing projects. It also aims to create sustainable economic and professional opportunities for UAE nationals, serving as a platform to convert engineering knowledge into sustainable national projects and businesses.

The program aligns with Dubai's strategic priorities, the Dubai Economic Agenda, the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, and the Sustainable Development Goals. It will span three months and follow a six-stage pathway recruitment, qualification, practical application, establishment, empowerment, and sustainability. This model is intended to empower participants to establish engineering consultancy offices and Emirati-owned contracting and maintenance companies capable of sustainable growth and competition.
