Egypt condemns Israeli attacks on UNRWA facilities in Gaza

CAIRO: The Arab Republic of Egypt has strongly condemned the continued Israeli bombardment of facilities and schools belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip.The latest attack targeted the Al Jaouni School in the Nuseirat Refugee Camp, resulting in numerous fatalities and injuries, including UNRWA staff.In a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt described these violations as a serious escalation and a flagrant breach of international law. The statement called for an immediate cessation of these crimes and accountability for those responsible.Egypt also urged the Security Council to fulfil its responsibilities, emphasising the need to protect the rights of the Palestinian people and restore their legitimate rights.Source: Emirates News Agency
