Dubai: ENOC Group, a prominent global energy entity, and 7X, a key player in the UAE's trade, transport, and logistics sector, have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering collaboration in e-commerce, quick commerce, logistics enablement, retail innovation, and transport-ready solutions.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU establishes a structured framework for both ENOC Group and 7X to explore joint ventures in high-demand areas such as convenience stores and auto parts. The agreement also focuses on assessing opportunities to integrate, operate, and scale existing dark store solutions. Additionally, the partnership will work on incorporating 7X's National Network for Logistics (NXN) retail services, including out-of-home Pick-Up Drop-Off (PUDO) solutions and smart lockers, within ENOC's extensive retail network.
Hussain Sultan Lootah, Group CEO of ENOC, emphasized the strategic importance of the collaboration, stating that it aligns with ENOC's dedication to innovation and digital transformation. By merging ENOC's retail presence and energy expertise with 7X's logistics and digital capabilities, the partnership aims to enhance customer mobility experiences while streamlining business operations across the UAE, supporting the nation's vision for a diversified and digitally driven economy.
Tariq Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X, highlighted the significance of this collaboration as a strategic expansion of their ongoing efforts to advance logistics and retail services in response to the evolving UAE market. He noted that the partnership sets a benchmark for sector integration, establishing a framework to test and validate use cases through interconnected service channels. The goal is to achieve measurable improvements in reliability and efficiency, ensuring seamless, world-class access for customers.
The partnership will also explore aligning ENOC's YES Loyalty programme with 7X's platforms to enhance customer engagement. Furthermore, both parties will evaluate solutions to equip 7X's logistics fleet with mobile, secure, and automated refuelling capabilities, aiming to boost operational efficiency. They plan to leverage 7X's infrastructure and assets to provide services benefiting communities across the UAE.
