Global Experts Converge at AURAK to Explore AI, Entrepreneurship, and Circular Economy

Ras al khaimah: Global experts, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers across disciplines highlighted the need to integrate business management practices, entrepreneurship, and sustainable circular-economy principles at the 2nd International Conference on "Disrupting for Good: AI, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable Circular Economy" (AIECE) hosted by the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK).

According to Emirates News Agency, the conference explored how artificial intelligence, responsible entrepreneurship, and circular economy principles can shape a more sustainable and inclusive future through keynote speeches and masterclasses delivered by global experts. "AURAK is pleased to host this conference that addresses the intersection of three domains - AI, Entrepreneurship, and Circular Economy," said Prof. Khalid Hussain, Provost of AURAK. He emphasized the aim of driving positive change, promoting environmental stewardship, and enhancing economic and social well-being by integrating these fields.

Prof. Tahseen Anwer Arshi, Associate Provost for Research and Sustainability, Dean of the School of Business at AURAK and Conference Chair, advocated for a shift from efficiency to ethics, from performance to purpose. He proposed "Circular-by-Design Intelligence" where AI systems are trained not only for profit but for regeneration, acknowledging carbon, waste, and social costs as real data.

Among the keynote speakers, Prof. KC Santosh, from the University of South Dakota, discussed "Toward Carbon-Neutral Human AI" focusing on sustainable AI solutions and human ASI. Dr. Jasmina Locke, CEO of Integrated Development Solutions Group, highlighted the growing demand for green talent and stressed the need for reskilling to meet future climate policies and commitments.

Dr. Basil M. Hantash, a regenerative medicine pioneer, emphasized that true innovation should lower business costs, reduce national debts, and enhance living standards. The conference featured masterclasses for students and four parallel tracks of peer-reviewed research presentations, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue.

The event was organized in partnership with International Experts for Research Enrichment and Knowledge Exchange (IEREK), and co-hosted by Majan University College from Oman, with support from Springer Nature. The conference proceedings will be indexed in Scopus, enhancing the visibility of the research presented.
