Gold Climbs Over 1% on Thursday

Dubai: Gold rose more than 1 percent on Thursday, recouping losses from the previous day. Spot gold was up 1.4 percent at $4,316.42 per ounce, as of 0242 GMT, after declining 1.7 percent on Wednesday. US gold futures for August delivery fell 1 percent to $4,336.70.

According to Emirates News Agency, other precious metals also experienced gains alongside gold. Spot silver rose 1.8 percent to $69.18 per ounce. Platinum gained 1.2 percent, reaching $1,757.53, while palladium was up 1.3 percent at $1,329.99.
