Hodeida discusses health plan to combat dengue fever, malaria

The Public Health and Population Office on Monday held a workshop in Hodeida province to discuss the preparedness plan to combat dengue fever and malaria.The workshop aimed to review the readiness plan to confront and control dengue fever and malaria diseases and all epidemics that spread in the province in various seasons.It also discussed ways to prevent the formation of vector breeding sources for infectious diseases.In the workshop, Hodeida governor Mohammed Qahim stressed the importance of discussing the readiness plan to combat dengue fever, malaria and all epidemics that are spreading in the various district of the province.Qahim pointed out the importance of raising community awareness of ways to combat these diseases and how to prevent them by filling in water swamps and covering fresh water in houses.He directed the districts' directors to prepare a control and awareness plan and form field community awareness committees in all districts of the province.Source: Yemen News Agency
