HRH the Crown Prince Chairs Cabinet Session

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session here today.The Cabinet was briefed on the message received by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques from the president of the Republic of Senegal and on the meeting HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister held with the speaker of Arab Parliament who presented the Crown Prince with the Leader's Medal for his leading role in supporting Arab causes and strengthening joint Arab action.Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Acting Minister of Media Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi told the Saudi Press Agency after the session that the Cabinet hailed the Arab Parliament's efforts and contributions in international platforms. The Cabinet emphasised the Kingdom's commitment to strengthening cooperation in various fields with its Arab counterparts in order to enhance security and stability, and facilitate sustainable development and growth.The Cabinet discussed curr ent regional and international developments, and reaffirmed the Kingdom's support for efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the need to end the occupation to achieve peace and restore the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.Domestically, the Cabinet focused on the Kingdom's efforts to strengthen its global sustainability and environmental conservation initiatives, including expanding royal reserves, with the strategic focus on protecting wildlife, promoting afforestation, and supporting ecotourism.The Cabinet tackled other items on its agenda and issued several decisions, among which the following:First: Approving an agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the mutual exemption from short-stay visas for holders of diplomatic and special passports.Second: Authorizing the minister of foreign affairs, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Cook Islands' side a draft general agreement for cooperation.Third: Authorizing the minister of foreign affairs, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with Luxembourg's side a draft memorandum of understanding on political consultations.Fourth: Approving a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the cultural field between the Saudi Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism.Fifth: Approving a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Saudi Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Justice in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.Sixth: Authorizing the minister of environment, water, and agriculture, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Tanzanian side regarding a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of livestock and fisheries.Seventh: Authorizing the minister of industry and mineral resources, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Ethiopian and Austrian sides two draft memoranda of understanding for cooperation in the field of mineral resources.Eighth: Approving two memoranda of unde rstanding in the fields of road safety and maintenance and the future of transportation between the Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services and the Bahraini Ministries of Works, Transportation, and Telecommunications.Ninth: Authorizing the minister of investment, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Georgian side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in promoting direct investment.Tenth: Approving a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of tourism between the Saudi Tourism Authority and Switzerland Tourism.Eleventh: Authorizing the minister of education, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Statistical, Economic, and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of technical and vocational training.Twelfth: Approving a memorandum of cooperation in the fields of original crimes, terrorism and its financing, and money laundering between the Public Prosecution of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Public Prosecution of the Republic of Yemen.Thirteenth: Approving a memorandum of understanding in the field of Arabic language services between the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language and Prince of Songkla University in Thailand.Fourteenth: Extending the state's coverage of the financial compensation required for guest workers in industrial establishments until December 31, 2025.Source: Saudi Press Agency
